The lawmakers affiliated with PML-N, PML-Q and PPP-Sherpao also joined JUI-F in the walkout from the house. The members of JUI-F, PPP-Sherpao and PML-Q were persuaded by Provincial Minister for Information Mian Iftikhar Hussein to rejoin the proceedings. However, the legislators of PML-N continued their boycott. Two legislators Dr Iqbal Din Fana of JUI-F and Nighat Yasmin Orakzai of PML-Q, who had recently joined PPP, did not join their colleagues in the walkout.
Later, Mian Iftikhar thanked the Opposition for ending their boycott. Senior Minister Bashir Ahmad Bilour congratulated Nighat Yasmin Orakzai on joining PPP. Barrister Javed Abbasi of PML-N and parliamentary leader of PML-Q Qalandar Lodhi told reporters that they would convene a meeting of the opposition parties to change Leader of the Opposition. They complained that they joined the walkout on the call of Mufti Kifayat but he did not bother to even ask them to come back. Both the leaders accused JUI-F for supporting the government.
The election of opposition leaders, they said would be for the short period but it would be a protest against insulting attitude with them. Mufti Kifayatullah was quick to clarify his position saying that the PML-N had never joined them in any walkout in the past and his party was unable even to requisition the assembly session due to their non-co-operative attitude. He said the PML-N had been playing the role of opposition in National Assembly but they were getting facilities and funds in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
